About me

Hi, I am Andy Lazaro! (aka dexgamedev).

I am a games developer and programmer, I have an HND in Computer and Systems development and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science for Games at Sheffield Hallam University. I am a very hardworking and creative person, always trying to innovate and make projects as professional as possible.

I worked on a VR game called Deadly Burrito. I ended up loving VR. That feeling is also influenced by the current state of this technology, it is great but with many shortcomings that must be solved, and I love looking for solutions and put my mind into creative situations.

Then I joined Saber Interactive in Madrid, although I was in the company for a short time, I learned a lot about the internal organization and some of its projects already published as NBA 2K playgrounds.

After, I moved to Elite3D and Turia Games in Valencia, where I worked on an unannounced 3rd person action adventure game in Unreal Engine 4.
I was in charge of the Core Gameplay Systems (Combat, Animation, UI).
Also worked on the design and level design aspects of the game.

Currently, I’m working on an unannounced Multiplayer game made in Unreal Engine 5. I’m working as a Gameplay Engineer on gameplay systems and UI.

Overall, I’d say that apart from my technical profile, I’m really into game and level design. I love testing new ideas and prototypes, the iteration process in games in general. I kinda consider myself a bit of a Technical Designer. 🙂
